Operations Program Manager
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Services Program Manager to join our team at Bamrec (Bay Area Muslim Recreation Center), within a vibrant community.
This individual will play a crucial role in coordinating, managing, and expanding our tutoring and coaching services for families.
Responsibilities:
Program Development and Management:
Develop and implement a comprehensive tutoring and coaching program that aligns with Bamrec's mission and values.
Create a structured curriculum and resources for tutors and coaches to ensure effective teaching and coaching methodologies.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the tutoring and coaching program, including scheduling, lesson planning, and evaluation of program effectiveness.
Continuously assess and improve program outcomes, identifying areas for growth and innovation.
Network Building and Partnerships:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with coaches, tutors, and other professionals within the community.
Collaborate with local schools, community organizations, and educational institutions to identify potential partnerships and resources.
Attend relevant conferences, workshops, and networking events to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Coach and Tutor Retention:
Provide ongoing support, training, and mentorship to coaches and tutors to enhance their skills and professional development.
Implement strategies to ensure high retention rates of coaches and tutors within the program.
Family Engagement and Support:
Collaborate with families to understand their specific needs and goals for tutoring and coaching services.
Conduct regular check-ins and progress assessments to track the effectiveness of the program for individual families.
Provide resources and guidance to parents to support their engagement in their child's learning journey.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Previous experience in program management, preferably in education or community-based organizations.
Familiarity with tutoring and coaching methodologies, especially for students in preschool and middle school.
Knowledge of the Muslim community and cultural sensitivity.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
Strong organizational and leadership abilities, with the capability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
